Dry Risers
Buildings that are over 18 metres but less than 60 metres in height are required by law to have dry riser systems installed to deliver water to the higher floors for firefighting.
Using an inlet at ground floor level, the water is pumped when needed via vertical mains that have usually been fitted into stairwells. Outlets situated on each landing at the higher levels can then be used for firefighters to connect to and gain access to the water flow.
Note: buildings over 60 metres high need wet risers, which are permanently charged with pressurised water.
Dry Riser Installation
Fire & Security Group is able to design and install fire riser systems at your property that are fitted and fully tested to ensure compliance with all necessary regulations. Our experienced and fully qualified team can tailor your dry riser system to the individual requirements and layout of your premises.
Once installed, each system is fully tested in accordance with BS 9990 guidelines and all installation work comes with a full 12-month warranty.
Dry Riser Maintenance & Servicing
Dry riser systems are legally required to have regular inspections and tests to ensure they are working effectively. We offer six-monthly servicing, inspections and wet tests that are a legal requirement where a dry riser system has been installed. We also offer 24/7 emergency callout for urgent issues that arise with your dry riser system.
