Wet / Dry Riser Systems

Wet and dry risers are used to help the fire brigade move water through a building in the event of a fire. For multi-storey properties, wet and dry risers are vital; dry risers are a requirement in buildings over 18m tall, whilst wet risers are legally required in buildings over 50m tall. The supply hose connects to the riser at ground level, and a firefighter on the specific floor can connect their hose to the riser on their level so they can combat the flames.
